In the world of adoption and rescue each and every dog is desperately looking for their loving, patient, and caring forever home. Some of these dogs are found roaming the streets because their owner didn’t want them, fell out of love with them, or was just merely sick of them. It is a hard fact to swallow but many of those dogs are wonderful loving animals that need love just like everyone else. Many dogs are taken to area shelters or pounds because they cannot afford them, a family member has passed away or they are moving. Canine Connections is here to provide a link between these wonderful dogs and the humans that are looking for that perfect pet. Please remember that there is an adjustment period for these dogs. Be patient and loving letting them know they are loved and wanted. Some dogs will need more attention, training, and socialization than others but each rescue or adoption center will go over the dogs needs upon completion of the adoption paperwork. Please Adopt Us!
ABOVE...Kiesha is a sweet little apricot-colored miniature poodle. She will be 10 years old on 6/13/12 but she has boundless energy and lots of love to give. Her favorite place in is a lap to be hugged and get kisses. Totally house trained, she has never once had an accident while we have been fostering her. She loves her brother Shiloh but will push him aside or use him as a step-stool if he is getting more attention than she is. When they are ready for bed at night Kiesha will mother over Shiloh and clean his face and ears before they curl up together. Shiloh will be 8 years old on 7/29/12. He is a goofy little guy and gets so excited anytime someone calls his name. He will trundle over to you and try and bounce up into you lap, of course his little legs can't quite reach but he doesn't mind being lifted up for a cuddle. A tender soul, Shiloh doesn't like yelling or loud noises, but as sweet as he is he will never have to be yelled at. As with Kiesha, Shiloh never makes a mess in the house and knows where to go if you say "go potty". they must go together as their bonded to each other, and separating them, even for a little while, makes them nervous. they had a bad experience with young children before they came to us, so no kids under 12, please! |
